I know my Mum loves me and all that, but she still cries about Alfie, He was her Norfolk Terrier and he passed away leaving the gap that I eventually filled, trouble is Alf could do all sorts of tricks. As soon as I arrived Mum got underway with the usual Paw-Paw-Sit- Down-Stay and come- she puts my name in front of all of them, “Gertie Paw” Gertie Sit, you get my drift, I think this must be in case other Dogs comes within ear shot -and think the command is for them! Mmmm.
I realised early on that Alf had a very special trick called “Alfie UP” which he perfected with a cute eye rise. When she first mentioned it to me- I knew I was doomed- as it’s an impossibility for us sausage dogs to sit upright. Mum held me in position a few times before giving up and realising my long back couldn’t support me, so after many efforts I told her the only way it would work would involve scaffolding: it ended up “Gertie cute eye rise”.
I am quite a social sausage, I have furry friends Big and small, Betty’s my best friend, and I spend many hours with Betsie and Lexi my Godmothers dogs.

We need to get some pics of Gertie and Betty playing, Susie.
I am working on it. xx
