Long Time no hear. Did you miss me?

Long Time no hear. Did you miss me?

Long time no word ! Did you miss me ?

Where do I begin- maybe where I left off ! and why I felt like not bothering to make contact for two years.

Reason 1. Not many people responded, which personally, I took to heart- Mum said it was just plain rude to ignore her baby, but I said that you were probably just busy with your own problems.

Reason 2. Me and Mum or is it Mum and I ? had major decisions, one being huge-us moving life and home.

I found it very hard to say goodbye to my Garden, Mum cried to leave her precious Tree’s. Bay tree’s fully grown so impossible to move and two Pear Trees which were planted in memories of her friend Yoka. To be honest I think it affected me most- as I grew up in Pear Tree Cottage, it was my first home- but I was very brave and any tears were shed with my face in the pillow, to spare my Mum further stress. She had to sell all her Furniture which she thought were heirlooms- they were not sadly! – I had to sit firmly on my rattan Bed in case it went on the skip- that’s a joke- she would never let me suffer, she has even given me her favourite dressing gown- cos I love the snuggle factor.

We left Pear Tree late 2019, but we didn’t leave my very special friend Martin who was our neighbour, he has been a “Brick” !! it’s a funny term- but Bricks hold things together and he has always done that. We live in the centre of Knutsford now with a tiny bit of Garden -but 2000 acres of Tatton Park on our doorstep, we are quite settled and although I have kept my old friends I also have some new ones. A neighbour Nerys sometimes looks after me- and gives me one too many cheese straws when Mum’s not looking.

One guy, BOB, who doesn’t particularly like dogs -works like clockwork and does the same thing every morning, he walks up to Sainsbury’s to collect his paper- and if I can kick Mum out of Bed early enough -I’ve taken to following him. I think I have grown on him as I have noticed he hangs around waiting for me to appear. He says he is chatting to Gerry (who adores me) but you can’t kid a kidder !

After such a break I cannot ignore “Lockdown” Mums lost her job, the treats have diminished, but I have to say on the whole. “I have loved Lockdown” We have spent many a happy hour looking at Netflix, Im knackered with all the walks, in fact I have hurt my left front elbow and am having X-rays to see whats wrong with it. I have met up with my mate Martin and Auntie Joan brings Peggy and Betty along since six can meet up.

Lots has happened in the past three months, many many sad stories are in the papers daily. Every day brings possible hope for normality, thank goodness Newgate has opened again and I think my favourite groomer Jenny will return soon, fab. Mums booked a table at The Rose and Crown for the first day pubs open, and hopefully those bloody Zoom programmes will soon stop.

I am off now for another walk- or limp. Take care and please respond or it will be another two years before I contact you.

Wuff Gertie X
